Keep your documents synchronized across all devices
Overview
AnySlate automatically syncs your cloud documents across all your devices. Changes are saved in real-time when online, and queued for upload when you're offline. Our smart conflict resolution ensures you never lose work, even when editing the same file from multiple locations.
How Sync Works

Edit your document
Make changes to any cloud document. Changes are saved locally immediately.

Automatic upload
When connected, changes sync to the cloud within seconds. A sync indicator shows progress.

Download to other devices
Other devices receive the changes automatically. Open the app to see updates.

Conflict detection
If the same file was edited elsewhere, AnySlate detects and helps resolve conflicts.
Automatic Saving
AnySlate saves your work automatically as you type:
- Local save occurs instantly after each keystroke pause
- Cloud sync triggers 2 seconds after you stop typing
- Force save anytime with Cmd/Ctrl + S
- Never lose more than a few seconds of work
Offline Support
Keep working even without an internet connection:
- All cloud documents are cached locally for offline access
- Edit freely - changes save locally and queue for sync
- When you reconnect, all changes upload automatically
- Offline indicator shows when you're working without connection
Tip: Enable "Always Available Offline" in Settings for documents you need guaranteed access to, even on new devices.
Conflict Resolution
When the same file is edited on multiple devices before syncing, AnySlate detects the conflict and offers resolution options:
Keep Both Versions
Creates a copy with "-conflict" suffix. Review and merge manually.
Keep This Device's Version
Overwrites the cloud version with your local changes.
Keep Cloud Version
Discards local changes and uses the version from the cloud.
Best practice: Wait for the sync indicator to show "Synced" before switching devices to minimize conflicts.

Troubleshooting Sync Issues
Sync not starting
Check your internet connection and ensure you're signed in. Try signing out and back in.
Sync stuck on 'Syncing'
Large files may take longer. Check Settings > Cloud > Sync Status for details.
Conflicts appearing frequently
This usually means the same file is being edited on multiple devices. Wait for sync to complete before switching devices.
Changes not appearing on other devices
Pull to refresh on the other device, or check if sync is paused in Settings.
